Vibe Founding is the practice where a founder's intent is captured, remembered, structured by proven business methods, and carried out by AI agents working together.

"Remembered" is the word that separates it from ordinary AI use. The founder's context, decisions and voice are written down once and kept, so the agents work from what the founder already knows instead of starting from zero every time.
Two years ago, one person with a real skill still needed a team to turn it into a business: someone to build the site, write the words, run the ads, keep it all straight. The overhead ate the idea. Vibe founding is what happens when that overhead mostly goes away.
Where the term came from
It is a descendant of vibe coding. In vibe coding, a developer describes what they want and AI writes the code. In vibe founding, a founder describes what they want the business to do and AI agents carry out much of the work.

Two readings of the same word
If you searched for this term, you may have found a very different version of it. The word vibe gets read two ways.
The mystical reading
Follow the feeling. Stop asking people whether they would buy your idea, and ask how it makes them feel instead.
The plain reading
"Vibe" means what it means in vibe coding: you describe, the machine builds. Then you find out whether anyone will actually pay, before you build much at all.
The first reading is expensive. Feelings are free. People are kind, so everyone says your idea is great, and a business built on that feels very encouraging right up until nobody pays.
Vibes get you to the question. Evidence gets you to the invoice.
How it works in practice
- Start with a small group that already trusts you. The people who keep coming to you with the same problem. Not an audience. A handful of people.
- Find out if they will pay before you build. Real conversations and real offers, not compliments.
- Write your intent down once. Your knowledge, your decisions, the way you talk, captured so the AI can work from it.
- Let the agents do the carrying. Pages, emails, follow-ups, delivery support. You check the work. You keep the judgment.
- Keep your job while it grows. It is built on the side. Leaving is an option once the business is real, never a requirement.
Who it is for
A good fit
- You know one specific thing very well, from years of doing it.
- People already come to you for that thing.
- You are employed and want to build something of your own without walking away from your income.
- You would rather be specific and expensive than famous.
Not a good fit
- You want to build a venture-funded product company. That is a different game.
- You need income in the next 60 days. This is a build, not a rescue.
- You want someone else to build it for you.
- You want to "do your own thing" but cannot yet name what you know better than most people.
Common questions
Is vibe founding the same as vibe coding?
No. Vibe coding is building software by describing what you want to an AI. Vibe founding applies the same idea to a whole business: the founder describes the intent, and AI agents carry out much of the work. Vibe coding can be one tool inside it.
Do you have to quit your job?
No. Because the agents carry much of the work, it can be built on the side while you stay employed. Most people doing it seriously keep their job until the business is real.
Do you need to know how to code?
No. The skill that matters is knowing a problem well and knowing who has it. The agents handle most of the building.
Do you need a big audience?
No. It usually starts with a small group of people who already trust you with a specific problem. A few people who will pay beat a large audience who will not.
Is it a spiritual idea?
No. The word is used the way it is in vibe coding: a plain description of a new way to build. The serious version asks whether anyone will pay, not how an idea makes people feel.
